Ice Storm
Evan got to experience his first ice/snow storm this week. Arkansas and much of the east was hit with a big storm that produced large amounts of ice and snow. A large amount of Northwest Arkansas lost power, we thankfully did not, but a lot of our friends did. So Evan got to experience a few snow days with Daddy and our friend Blake ( who lost power and came and stayed with us).
Again as the days pass us Evan seems to change more and more. He is loving his fists and will suck on them what seems like for hours making loud exaggerated noises. Its adorable. He is really getting more independent and loves to sit in his bouncy chair watching his surroundings. He loves to be talked to and will coo and smile back at you. Again adorable! The last few nights he has been a night owl waking up 30mins after we lay him down acting wide awake. I think I jinxed it with my last entry when I said he was a great sleeper!

Finally, Our first Post!
So after 2 long and exciting months we finally start our blog! As most of you know Evan was born on November 16, 2008 at 10:26pm. He weighted 6lbs. 14oz and was 20" long. He celebrated his first Thanksgiving with Ryan's parents, my Mom and Alan, and our friend Blake. We had a great first Christmas as well. We went to church Christmas Eve with my Mom, Alan, Ronda and her family. We spent Christmas morning relaxing and opening presents and then went out to Mom and Alan's for dinner. Evan had his first set of shots 2 weeks ago and did great! I on the other hand didn't do so well :( The last 2 weeks have brought a lot of change in Evan. He has grown out of his colicky evening phase for the most part! (which was a relief for Ryan and I) He has turned into a big "talker" in the morning and will talk and smile at you forever. Last week I put in a Baby Einstein DVD which he absolutely LOVES! He just sits there bouncing in his chair and will even squeal with excitement. I was so shocked at his amazement with it. Evan really is a good baby, we feel very blessed. He is a good eater and sleeper so we feel very lucky in that way. The last few weeks have brought out a little mamma's boy though. My mom watched him on Saturday while Ryan and I went to a basketball game ( it was the longest we had been away from him during the day) my mom said about an hour after we left he just got grumpy and she could tell it was because he missed his mom.
