Its official he can roll!

So I was going to wait until next week to update the blog because Evan goes for his 4 month check up, but some exciting things have happened this week so I decided to do an update. And now that my sister has had her baby it has made me realize that I wish I would of kept a better log of Evan's growth so I am kinda using this blog as my log :)

So its official Evan can roll over to his belly from his back! From what I read he is about 4-6wks ahead of most babies on doing this. And for the first time today he then rolled back onto his back ( and as I write this is about to do it again!)

I put Evan in his activity jumper yesterday for the first time ( well I put him in their for a quick second when Ryan put it together the other day) any how I was very impressed at how interested he was in it. He immediately started grabbing at the toys and kicking his feet to try to touch the ground. He couldn't really sit up so he quickly got frustrated. Just in the last week have I noticed he is deliberate in the things he grabs for and his time in his jumper really confirmed that. I took a quick little video of it. ( excuse my annoying baby talk I just can't help it).

This week I have also started to wean Evan off of breast milk. I have only dropped one feeding ( he feeds 5 times during the day and about 2 at night). I am only going to drop a feeding a week so it will take about a month and a half before he is totally off breast milk. Its been bitter sweet for me, but selfishly I am ready to have my body back. I have loved loaning it out to my little chunky butt though :)

So yesterday morning at 5am when I was walking back to bed after feeding Evan I stubbed my toe on Ryan's suitcase. I heard a snap and was like oh no, I either broke off my toenail or broke my toe. So I grabbed my cell phone for some light and my toenail was still there. So I turned on the lamp and there was my toe facing the wrong direction. Ryan happened to be up because he had a 630 flight to catch. So after confirming with him it did appear that I had broke my toe. From my recollection I didn't think you could do anything for a broken toe, so I goggle it to confirm and text my sister who is a doctor and happened to be up because of time difference and there isn't really anything you can do but to buddy tape it to the toe next to it. So for the last two days I have been hobbling around, but it actually isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. But in the end it will be a cute story to tell Evan!

We have had a few days here and there of really nice weather so we have gotten to take more walks. Evan loves them!! He loves the wind !!( and its super windy here all the time) He will just smile and giggle. If its really windy he was start foaming at the mouth will saliva. Its hilarious!

He also has been giggling if you tickle him which is cute. You aren't always guaranteed a laugh but most of the time he will.

One of his favorite people lately has been Katie Forbis. I watch her after school and help get her to her activities, Evan just loves to watch her and will just smile and smile at her. He will be in the middle of crying and Katie will say "hi Evan" and he will stop to smile at her.

Oh and from what I have been reading it looks like Evan's eyes may stay blue. Which is exciting for me since that will be the only physical trait that makes Evan look like my son, well except for the dimples that we both have on our ears, but who notices things like that but a mother :)

Well I meant this to be a short update, but there is just always so many new any exciting things I want to get out!

( oh and during the time it took my to write this Evan rolled from his back to his belly and then back onto his back again 3 times!)
